I thought I would have my life together before I turned 50-

I thought I would have my life together before I turned 50. Well, here I am at 51 and still don't have my life together. My ducks are not in a row and some of my ducks think they are squirrels. It's funny but its not. There is more sand in the bottom of the hourglass then the top and still I wait.. I procrastinate and tell myself I am going to get it together. I tell myself tomorrow is when I am going to start- I remember an old Andy Griffith episode about that very things.

Here I am on my journey to get it together with my best girlfriend. She came along at the perfect time and somehow we clicked. She is the full gas tank and I am the sliding in on fumes. She is the let's book the room and have an idea of what we are going to do. I am the you only live once we will figure it out when we get there kinda gal. She is the type of person that has to lift the rock up to see where the bug when it crawled under. Then there's me. I don't care about the bug, I don't care about the rock and I sure don't care if the bug went under the rock what is the fastest way to get to the solution. That describes us in a nut shell and half the time the nut shell is cracked.
